Job Description
We are seeking a full-time Financial Claims Auditor to examine and verify claims, invoices, and payroll for accuracy and proper authorization. This role ensures expenditures comply with federal, state, and departmental regulations and that charges are coded to the correct appropriation, program activity, and funding source.
- Audit financial documents and supporting records
- Perform compliance checks against applicable laws and policies
- Reconcile invoices with purchase orders and confirm receipt of goods/services
- Resolve discrepancies and follow up on outstanding items
- Maintain financial logs and assist with complex claims under supervision
